After Led Zeppelin’s break-up in 1980 Plant started the solo career that proved to be very successful and fruitful. Plant’s debut solo album titled Pictures At Eleven was released in 1982 and it was critically acclaimed. Its Platinum Status is a great proof of listeners’ interest in Roberts’ creativity. The musician’s following work The Principle Of Moments appeared in 1983. It turned out to be as original as its predecessor, and the composition Other Arms peaked at the very top of Billboard's rock songs chart. The third long play Shaken 'n' Stirred (1985) pleased rock lovers with strong songs: Little By Little, presented among them, managed to get on the top of Billboard’s rock chart. The musicians’ discography was enlarged by excellent album Now And Zen (1988), presenting such hits as Heaven Knows and Tall Cool One.

Robert’s fifth studio work was not an exception - Manic Nirvana (1990) turned out to be extremely strong, and one of its compositions, Hurting Kind, peaked at number one of rock chart. The official release of Fate Of Nations took place in 1993, and after that Plant’s fans had to wait for nine years for the rocker’s next album. Robert issued the long-awaited long play Dreamland in 2002. That record included interesting interpretations of the world-known famous songs: One More Cup Of Coffee by Bob Dylan, Billy Roberts’ Hey Joe and others.

Also in 2002 Dreamland was nominated for two Grammy Awards in a row in categories The Best Rock Album and The Best Male Rock Performance, which proved the highest level of that record. Studio work titled Mighty ReArranger (2005) pleased both critics and listeners by the signature sound. Two years later, in 2007 Robert Plant recorded wonderful album Raising Sand in collaboration with Alison Krauss. Raising Sand turned out to be so good that it won Grammy Award in nomination Album Of The Year. New, the ninth studio attempt titled Band Of Joy saw the light in 2010. It goes without saying that it had been created on the highest level and that record will be interesting not only for rockers, but for all the good music and sincere lyrics lovers.
