My CD Key for a game says already in use, so I was sent steps to try out, which all failed, then it says if they fail contact support, which I do and they send me the same steps which I try again just in case and they again fail so I contact support since they failed and they send me the same steps again and I'm not going to keep repeating the same steps so I replied saying that and they sent me the same failed steps again. I don't know if it's a prank or a computer automatically responding but it's not helping. Thanks for your time though, even if it did nothing. Circle talk is happening because of what you are saying. 'My CD Key for a game says already in use,' And 'I bought the game on Steam' do not go together. If you bought the game on Steam, you don't get nor need a Steam key since the game will automatically be added to your account.

Where are you running into the key problem? Adding it to your account, or when you play the game?

If it's the latter, you never mentioned that. If it's the latter, then you can find the CD key you need in your Library (this is not a 'Steam' key, it's a 3rd party key). Click on Patrician IV (make sure you're in detailed view) and then on the right of the info window it says LINKS. There will be a link that says CD Key.

Patrician doesnt need a key, its only used to register the game on Paradox. The problem is the way yo're phrasing the error makes it sound like you're trying to register the game for the first tiem on Steam.
